Haryana CM contributes Rs 5.10l for Ram Temple

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has given a cheque of Rs 5,10,000 to the committee of ‘Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi Tirtha Shetra Nyas Nidhi Samparan Abhiyan, Haryana.’ On this occasion, Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Surendra Jain, Sangh Chalak Haryana region Pawan Jindal, Provincial Head of the Abhiyan Rakesh Tyagi and its co-convenor Prem Shankar among others were present. A portrait of Ram Janam Bhoomi Temple was also presented to the Chief Minister.

HP CM listens to Mann Ki Baat programme

Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday listened to Mann Ki Baat programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Circuit house Narkanda, while he was on his way to Kumarsain in Shimla district. Later, the Chief Minister inspected the site of under construction APMC Fruit and Vegetable Mandi at Shilaru in Shimla. This market yard is coming up with an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore. He directed the officers to ensure its time bound completion so that the fruit and vegetable growers of the area could be benefitted.   

Haryana Min inaugurates pulse-polio campaign

Chandigarh: Inaugurating the National Pulse Polio Campaign in Yamunanagar, Haryana Education, Forest and Tourism Minister, Kanwar Pal said that since 2011, our country is polio-free but some neighboring countries have still been witnessing polio cases and due to this, we need to be vigilant. He urged the public to take children up to 5 years of age to the nearest polio booths to get polio dose so that no child would become a victim of this disease. Deputy Commissioner, Yamunanagar, Mukul Kumar said that the polio campaign in this district will be held for 3 days.

Union Min inaugurates ‘Beautification Project’

Chandigarh: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar inaugurated the ‘Beautification Project’ of the parking and pavement to be done at a cost of about Rs 14.5 crore in Transport Nagar in Faridabad. He said this parking has been built over an area of 105 lakh square meters. Transport Nagar will have 72 booking agencies, 166 showrooms, 96 spare parts shops and 34 hotel bases. Gurjar said no effort will be spared in the development of district Faridabad.

Cyclothon held to spread fuel conservation

Chandigarh: As part of Saksham 2021, a month-long mass awareness drive from January 16 to February 15, seeking citizens to participate in fuel conservation for health and environment protection, a cyclothon was organized by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited at Sukhna Lake here on Sunday. More than 125 cycling enthusiasts participated in the rally to spread the cause of oil conservation. The rally was led by the cycling squad of Chandigarh Police.
