CLAT 2021: Odisha topper Utkarsh Panda ranks 53
Bhubaneswar: Utkarsh Panda from Bhubaneswar qualified with All India Rank (AIR)-53 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 became the Odisha topper. Manhar Bansal from Punjab has secured AIR-1 in the test. Utkarsh is the son of banker couple Byomaranjana Panda and Rimmy Panda. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) published the exam results on its official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in on Thursday. The results have been released for both the 5-year LLB and LLM entrance exams.
Man arrested for trading in duplicate watches
Cuttack: The Commissionerate police on Thursday arrested the owner of a watch shop here for allegedly selling duplicate wrist watches of reputed brands, informed DCP Prateek Singh. The police have also seized at least 884 pieces of counterfeit wrist watches of different makes of ‘Fasttrack’ brand from the shop. The Badambadi police raided the shop run by one Kali Prasad Mohanty and forwarded him to court, police said, adding that the raid was conducted on the basis of a written complaint filed by a duped customer.
JITM holds webinar on tiger conservation
Balangir: A webinar was organised on Thursday by Leo Club of Centurion University Campus here on the occasion of International Day for Tiger. Joining the discussion, JITM Balangir Regional Director Pradeep Sarangi explained the need for tiger conservation. Zoologist Arindum Parischha spoke about tiger conservation history in India and clarified doubts of students on different aspects of tiger conservation.
