Intensive ticket checking drive at ECR Divisions

East Central Railway General Manager Anupam Sharma has been issuing instructions from time to time in high level meetings that a close watch should be kept on the passengers traveling without tickets or without proper authorization so that passengers traveling with proper tickets may face any kind of difficulties. In this sequence, a special ticket checking campaign is being conducted in the stations and trains by forming separate teams of officers in all the five divisions of East Central Railway. As a result of the extensive ticket checking drive being conducted in all the divisions, on November 23, about 15,000 cases of traveling without ticket were reported in a day, resulting in revenue of more than Rs 91 lakhs in the form of fines. Similarly, from 01.11.2021 to 23.11.2021 (in 23 days), 2.28 lakh people were caught traveling without tickets/proper authority, from which an amount of more than Rs 12.97 crore has been received. Whereas in the last month revenue of more than Rs 10.61 crore was received in the form of fine from 1.88 lakh cases without ticket travel.

 

20 women footballers to play in Kerala

For the first time any State government, concerned with the future of the players, has decided to send its team to the championship organized by the national federation. On Thursday, after a selection trial of 20 players, all the players will be sent by the Sports Department to participate in the National Women Football Championship to be organized in Kerala by flight. Recently, an order was issued by the National Football Federation to debar the Jharkhand team from participating in the Santosh Trophy and the National Women's Football Championship. After strong intervention of the State government, the technical officials of the National Football Federation organised a trial in the presence of the Sports Director at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium.

 

Help Desk inaugurated in VBU

A students’ Help Desk cum Inquiry counter was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University Mukul Narayan Dev and Division Head of Punjab National Bank, Ranchi North Division RC Sharma at PNB Branch Office, VBU on Wednesday. The Help Desk has been set up at the Administrative Office, which will help students and others to the right workplace. Dr MK Singh, Registrar, Sunil Kumar Singh, Financial Advisor alongwith officials and staff of the PNB branch were present on the occasion.  

 

SAIL’s iron ore mines receive 5-Star rated awards

Two iron ore mines of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Kiriburu Iron Ore Mines and Meghahatuburu Iron Ore Mines, received 5-star rated awards for sustainable mining practices and all round performance in the Iron Ore category at the 5th National Conclave on Mines & Minerals held in New Delhi on November 23. Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi presented the awards to Soma Mondal, Chairman, SAIL in a glittering award ceremony. Chairman, SAIL was accompanied by Kamlesh Rai, CGM, Kiriburu Iron Ore Mines and RP Selvam, CGM, Meghahatuburu Iron Ore Mines while receiving the awards. SAIL’s Kiriburu Iron Ore Mines was awarded for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19 while Meghahatuburu Iron ore Mines was awarded for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20. Both these SAIL mines are under the Jharkhand Group of Mines of SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant.

 

Dipanvita wins Bridal Makeup Expert award

Bokaro's makeup artist Dipanvita Kumar has been honored with the Creative Bridal Makeup Expert, Jharkhand Award. Dipanvita is a resident of Sector-3E; she runs Golden Touch Beauty Parlor located in Sector-4 City Center. She participated in the Beauty and the Best Mr., Miss and Mrs.India-2021 contest held at New Delhi. Around 80 participants from across the country participated in this event. Dipanvita got a chance to do the makeup of all the participants there and she won the Creative Bridal Makeup Expert, Jharkhand Award. Dipanvita was honoured by Dr Aditi Govitrikar, a film actress and India World.

 

Youth kidnapped in Giridih

Six criminals opened fire and kidnapped a youth in Bagodar police station area of Giridih.  It is said about the incident that Shamsher Alam, resident of Gaida of Vishnugarh police station area of Hazaribagh district, was taken away by criminals sitting in a Bolero and Apache bike.  During this, the criminals also opened fire; the incident was captured in the CCTV camera. Administration searched the CCTV camera installed in the house under construction of Shamsher Alam.  The Bagodar administration has started an investigation. Shamsher works as a land trader.

 

Inter Departmental Badminton Championship

Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Inter-departmental Badminton Championship-2021 is being organized in the Indoor Badminton Hall of the Sports Complex operated by Bokaro Steel Plant. The competition was inaugurated by Sameer Swarup, Executive Director (Personnel and Administration). On this occasion, CGM IN (Finance & Accounts) Suresh Rangani, CGM (CED) Shaligram Singh, General Manager (TA Water Supply) and Senior Manager (S&CA) Subhash Rajak, along with a large number of spectators and participants were present. A total of 17 teams will participate in the championship. Four teams played eight matches on the first day. The final match of the championship will be held on November 27.
