Oxygen bank initiative launched at Balangir

Balangir: District Collector Chanchal Rana inaugurated a private oxygen bank initiative of the Being Human foundation, Balangir, along with the Juhar Paribar, Mumbai, on Monday. Praising the effort of the Being human Foundation, during the pandemic, Rana hoped that people would get the benefit from this initiative. The Aide et Action, Bhubaneswar, has donated six PPE kits after getting inputs that volunteers of the Being Human Foundation who very often carry and perform funeral rites of patients faced shortage of PPE kits.

Lightning kills woman, injured another in Balangir

Balangir: Rains and thunderstorms which hit Balangir on Tuesday morning left an old woman dead in village Barkani. The deceased was identified as Panbudi Meswa (65). Lightning also injured another woman, Bhumisuta Meswa. According to reports, a Kendu leaf phadi house was burnt due to lightning in Patnagarh.

NTPC Talcher Kaniha supports CHC workers 

Talcher: The NTPC Talcher Kaniha CSR has recognised the hardships and vulnerabilities faced by the frontline health workers amidst the second wave of coronavirus and distributed 300 masks, 10 100-ml sanitiser bottles and five 500-ml sanitiser bottles to support the battle of the Kaniha Community Health Centre to curb the rising Covid cases in nearby villages. The Kaniha CHC frontline health workers welcomed the initiative and showed immense gratitude towards the NTPC.

BPSL donates oxygen cylinders to S’pur DHH 

Sambalpur: To meet the urgent requirements of Covid-19 patients, the Bhusan Power and Steel Ltd (BPSL), Sambalpur on Monday donated 25 oxygen cylinders to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and sanitised the whole Sambalpur Town, said BPSL officials.

New Keshriya Hindu Bahini State president 

Balangir: Santosh Kumar Bhola has been appointed as the president of the Keshriya Hindu Bahini, Odisha. Bhola expressed gratitude to the organisation’s founders Atul Misha, Anju Singh Sikharwar and Sanskriti Singh. He expressed his resolve to strengthen the Keshriya Hindu Bahini in the State.
