Leopard caught in village

Bageshwar: A leopard was trapped in a cage by the Forest department in Matela village of Almora district late on Tuesday evening. District Panchayat member Mahendra Singh Bisht said that though trapping of one leopard comes as a relief, villagers have been spotting leopards at various places. The locals have demanded effective action to tackle the human-wildlife conflict.

 

PNB holds various Hindi competitions

Dehradun: Punjab National Bank organised various competitions to mark Hindi month. The bank’s Dehradun (west) circle head Rajendra Bhatia and other officials were also present on the occasion. Officials and employees of the bank participated in various events and competitions held on the occasion. The senior manager (Rajbhasha) Aruna Jyoti was also among those present on the occasion.

 

BOB marks Hindi Diwas

Dehradun: The Bank of Baroda commemorated Hindi Diwas with enthusiasm. At the Dehradun regional office of the bank, the regional manager Anup Sharma exhorted the bank’s staff members to do their work in Hindi while also recalling the golden history of the language. He also motivated them to use simple and effective language to further enhance customer service.
