Inter-State drug syndicate busted, 3 held, heroin worth rS 2 cr seized

With the arrest of three men, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted an inter-State syndicate of drugs involved in supplying heroin in the national Capital. Police said that a total of 1.1 kilogram of fine quality heroin worth over rS  2 crore in international market has been recovered from the possession of the accused.

The accused have been identified as Hukam Chand (45) and Rohit (32), both residents of Sultanpuri and Shahid Khan (58), a resident of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh (UP).

“During interrogation, Chand disclosed that he procured the heroin from Rohit. Later, on August 18, Rohit was apprehended from Sultanpuri area. His car was seized and 100 grams of heroin was also recovered from it,” said the DCP.
