JE suspended for power substation accident

Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) has suspended a junior engineer of Rawanbhata substation, Raipur after one line attendant died and another was critically injured on Saturday.

The Chief Engineer (City) of CSPDCL Raipur, R. A. Pathak in a statement said the accident took place during the maintenance work in the 33/11 KV power substation at Rawanbhata.

Two line attendants Ram Patel and Amit Sahu were conducting the repair at 11.45 am on Friday, in presence of Junior Engineer Abhishek Chandrakar. After the accident Ram Patel died on the spot while Amit Sahu was critically injured. He has been admitted to hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
