JMM-Cong attack BJP for phone hacking

Thursday, 22 July 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

Ruling alliance in the State Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government for the issue of Israeli spyware Pegasus on Wednesday.

JMM’s Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya raised questions on the Central Government and the State BJP on the issue of spying conducted by Israeli Spyware Pegasus and said that the people sitting at the top are misleading the people of the country. He said that during the entire Corona period when the Country was in crisis, the Bharatiya Jali Party (BJP) was spying on people through Pegasus. He also alleged that with the help of the Pegasus, they formed the Government in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh.

“They are forcing people to live in more fear, in disbelief. On July 20, Parliament was told that till date not a single death has occurred due to oxygen in the Country.  This is a serious and well planned lie. The BJP did not allow people to live peacefully during the Corona period. Now efforts are being made to hurt the sentiments of the families of the deceased,” said Bhattacharya.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) decided to hold Rajbhawan March on July 22 in protest against the phone hacking of opposition leaders, senior military officials, election commissioners, journalists and some other dignitaries by the Indian Government through Israeli spyware “Pegasus”.

The march will be organized under the leadership of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Dr. Rameshwar Oraon and Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam.

JPCC Spokesperson, Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta said that under the leadership of Oraon and Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam, Minister Badal and Banna Gupta, following the Corona guidelines, the Raj Bhavan march will be organized from the Congress Bhawan. Under the Kovid-19 guideline, the party’s state officials and senior leaders will march to the Raj Bhavan by taking out processions in small groups, they added.

Dubey said that Congress workers will be carrying placards in their hands during the Raj Bhavan march, asking a Supreme Court judge to investigate the Central Government’s involvement in phone hacking through spyware Pegasus and Union Home Minister Amit Shah resignation will also be demanded. It is necessary to investigate the role of PM and Home Minister in this entire episode, he added.
