In an attempt to ensure the success of the General Convention of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the party held its first meeting of the preparatory committee constituted by the party to supervise preparation of the convention on Sunday at the party head quarter in the State Capital.
The party’s convention will be held in Ranchi on December 18.Talking to media persons after the meeting, the party's General Secretary cum Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya informed that the entire city would be decorated with party flags and banners for the upcoming General Convention of the party.
He said that a total of 50 welcome gates will be made in the city.
Bhattacharya said that the archway will be in the name of the martyrs of the State, but this time the names of the archway will be decided keeping in mind the changing situation related to farmers, labourers, youths, women power, native people, students and others. There will also be archways in the name of Sarna Dwar.The party’s General Secretary said that the work of decorating the city will be started from December 15 regarding the convention. “The main squares of the city will be decorated attractively. Party flags and banners will be put up on the main roads.
The priority of the party is that the message that will be conveyed through this convention should reach the people of the State,” he added. “Apart from Jharkhand, representatives from Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Assam are coming to participate in this convention. The party will work according to the new guidelines of the Government regarding Corona. The new guideline is awaited. For this reason, the disclosure will be made to the party representatives only after 72 hours,” said Bhattacharya.
On the question of making Shibu Soren's residence a heritage, the party’s Spokesperson said that Shibu Soren is a symbol of the State.
“Whenever the name of Jharkhand is taken, people also remember the contribution of Disom Guru. Apart from the culture of Jharkhand, the heritage will also have the works of Shibu Soren so that it is right step of the Government to convert his residence into heritage,” he added.
