Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has filed an appeal petition in the Division Bench of the High Court against the cancellation of the sixth JPSC merit list on Saturday. The order of the single bench has been challenged in the double bench by filing an appeal petition on behalf of JPSC.
In the petition, it has been said on behalf of JPSC that the merit list is made according to the rules of the State Government. There is no error in this and therefore the order of the Single Bench should be quashed.
Earlier, in the petition filed by other petitioners including Shishir Tigga, a request has been made to quash the order of the single bench of the High Court, saying that it is wrong. It has been said in the petition that it is correct to add the marks of Paper One which is Hindi and English, to the total score in the main examination of the sixth JPSC. On this basis, the JPSC had issued the merit list after the main examination. There is nothing wrong with this. So far, appeal has not been filed by the State Government and JPSC against the order of the single bench. Advocate Arpan Mishra and advocate Sumit Gadodia are the Advocates of the petitioners.
The Single Bench of the High Court had given its verdict on the petitions challenging the results of the Sixth Combined Civil Services Competitive Examination taken by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. The appointment of the candidates was declared invalid. After this, the future of the successful and unsuccessful candidates in this examination seems to be hanging in the balance. But the successful candidates have filed an appeal in the double bench of the Jharkhand High Court.
