Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath of office to newly appointed Chief Justice, Ravi Vijaykumar Malimath, as the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court at Raj Bhavan. The swearing-in ceremony was held at Sandipani Auditorium Raj Bhavan on Thursday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was present on the occasion.
Among those who attended the ceremony were Narottam Mishra, Minister of Home, Jail, Parliamentary Affairs and Law and Legislative Affairs, Bhupendra Singh, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Vishwas Sarang, Minister of Medical Education and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation, Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Science and Technology, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Member of Parliament, V.D. Sharma, MLA, Krishna Gaur, P.C. Sharma, Judges of Madhya Pradesh High Court and senior officials of legal and legislative affairs and other departments. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains conducted the swearing-in proceedings.
Later, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan attended the oath ceremony of Madhya Pradesh High Court’s newly appointed Chief Justice Ravi Vijay Kumar Malimath, he also congratulated him with a bouquet as a token of respect. He also gifted a bouquet to the Governor of Madhya Pradesh Mangubhai Patel.
Chauhan also offered the lunch at CM house as a sign of respect to newly appointed Chief Justice Malimath. Chauhan welcomed Governor Mangubhai Patel at CM house. Along with Chief Justice Malimath, other judges, ministers and senior officials were also present in the ceremony.
