Despite facing breathing problems, the condition of former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Kalyan Singh, continues to be stable, doctors attending on him at Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences here disclosed on Tuesday.
On Monday, Singh was put on a high pressure oxygen mask (non-invasive ventilation) as the shortness of breath worsened.
SGPGIMS Director Prof RK Dhiman said on Tuesday that the BJP leader was put on non-invasive ventilation on Saturday evening due to difficulty in breathing.
“All his blood markers are being closely monitored. Specialists in CCM, Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology and Endocrinology are keeping a close watch on all aspects related to his health. Antibiotics and antifungals are being pressed to control sepsis,” he said.
Prof Dhiman said that a slight improvement in his condition was being felt since Tuesday morning as compared to Monday.
Former Governor of Rajasthan Kalyan Singh was admitted to SGPGIMS on July 4. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited him twice while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit SGPGIMS on Wednesday.
