Khattar: Villagers can now give suggestions related to development works to Govt

Saturday, 24 July 2021 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that the villagers will now be able to directly submit online demands, complaints and suggestions related to development works to the State Government.

The Chief Minister said this on the occasion of launching the online portal Gram Darshan for suggestions and complaints related to development works of villages. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala was also present during the occasion.

Khattar said the ‘Gram Darshan’ portal has been developed to ensure direct participation of villagers in development works. This will be an easy way to register their demands, suggestions and complaints from anywhere, he said.

He said on the basis of the suggestions given by the villagers, a blueprint for future development plans would be prepared.

He directed the officers of all the departments to fix the priorities of five works of their department so that the complaints and suggestions lodged by the villagers can be redressed on the priority basis.

The Chief Minister said the priority of the government is to redress the grievances of the people. The complaints made by the villagers on the ‘Gram Darshan’ portal will be linked with CM Window so that there is no duplication of complaints, he added.

He also directed to link ‘Gram Darshan’ portal with ‘Jan Sahayak’ app.

It was informed that an individual will be able to file a complaint or suggestion on the portal only in respect of the village of his permanent residence (which is recorded in the Parivar Pehchan Patra).

The suggestions and demands given by the villagers will be directly visible to the Sarpanch, Panchayat Samiti member, Zilla Parishad member, MLA and MP. All the public representatives will see the suggestions of their jurisdiction on the dashboard, which will be able to be taken forward with the recommendations of the concerned public representatives.

Along with registering the suggestion or complaint on the portal, an ID will be generated which will be sent to the concerned applicant through SMS. The applicant will get updated information about the action taken on the suggestion or complaint from time to time through SMS.

It was further informed that the applicant has to state his point of view in at least 50 characters while registering the complaint or suggestion on the ‘Gram Darshan’ portal. Apart from this, applicants will be able to submit their suggestions to the government by uploading the photo. Only that individual who has been issued Parivar Pehchan Patra will be able to file a complaint on this portal.
