Loan fairs should be organised in all districts: Yogi

Hailing the MSME department for organising online loan fairs for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises units, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that loan fairs should be organised in all 75 districts within a month so that the people could get loans and start their own work. He was expressing his views on the occasion of an online ‘Self-employment Sangam’ programme organised at his official 5, KD Marg residence in Lucknow on Wednesday.
Yogi said that even in the first wave of corona, the MSME department in coordination with banks had disbursed large amounts of loans to strengthen the MSME units, which created a large number of employment opportunities.
“Despite being the most populous state, the unemployment rate is the lowest in the state. The state government has employed more than 4 lakh youths in government services. 1.5 crore jobs were created through MSME. Also, self-employment opportunities were promoted through other measures,” he said.
The chief minister said that the youth of the state have immense potential and those workers and artisans who returned to the state due to the pandemic were now benefiting through their entrepreneurship. “Uttar Pradesh is successfully carrying forward the campaign of self-reliant India,” he said.
“The UP government is committed to saving the lives and livelihoods during the corona pandemic. Vaccination against the viral infection is a protective shield. Vaccination is to save life and self-reliant India is to save livelihood. Also, One District One Product Scheme, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, Prime Minister’s employment generation program were being conducted to realize the self-reliant India campaign,” he said
The chief minister also distributed a loan of Rs 2505.58 crore to 31,542 MSME units in the online loan fair under the online self-employment program and provided free advanced tool kit to five beneficiaries under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana.
On this occasion, Yogi laid the foundation of Common Facility Centers (CFCs) under ODOP Common Facility Promotion Scheme in nine districts- Bhadohi, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Mirzapur, Mainpuri, Mau, Agra, Bijnor and Muzaffarnagar at a project cost of Rs 73.54 crore.
Addressing the programme, Minister for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and Export Promotion Sidharth Nath Singh said that the MSME department has created a large number of employment opportunities through local skills in the last four years.
