Delhi Police has arrested a 25-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly killing his wife and later misleading the investigators by cooking up a false story to portray it as a work of a theif in outer Delhi’s Ranhola area.
The accused has been identified as Vikas. Police said that he killed his wife Priyanka as his wife objected to his extra marital relationship with his sister-in-law. The couple also shared differences over taking care of their infant.According to Parvinder Singh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP),Outer district, on Tuesday, the accused had an argument with his wife during the day and to teach her a lesson, he bought a cutter knifeblade and stabbed her the same night.”After killing her, Vikas through his known person made a PCR callstating that a theif entered a house in Ranhola area and committedmurder. On reaching the spot, the victim’s body with stab injuries onher neck was found lying on a bed in a pool of blood,” said the DCP.
“A case of murder was registered and when her husband was questioned, he revealed that some thief had entered in the house and ran away through the upper floors of his house after killing his wife, said the DCP.
