Man booked for molesting woman after she tries to save son

Kamla Nagar police has booked a man for molesting and trying to tear the cloth of a 34-year-old woman when the victim tried to save her son from scuffle in the evening at Mandwa basti on Friday.

According to the police, the victim’s son had gone to buy goods and when he was returning, his bag brushed the accused, Anwar, and he started abusing him. Later, his mother and father came to his rescue during which the victim was molested.

The victim’s son raised an alarm after which the victim and her husband rushed to his  rescue. The accused escaped from the spot. The police have started investigation and registered a case of molestation.

After the complaint was lodged, the accused who works as labourer escaped from the spot and before leaving threatened her of life and went absconding.

Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, police registered a case of molestation, threatening of life, assaulting the victim.

Meanwhile, Arera Hills police has booked a man for molesting a 42-year-old woman on Friday. Police said that the accused Kumbhakaran came to victim’s shop and molested her.

In her complaint, the victim stated that her husband had gone for work and she was alone at her shop.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under sections 506 and 354 of the IPC and started search for the accused who went absconding after the complaint was lodged.
