Koh-e-Fiza police have booked a habitual criminal and his aide for attacking with sharp edged weapon and extortion of Rs 2000 from a 21-year-old mechanic late in the night on Sunday; accused are still absconding, said police.
Police said that the victim Anas Kahn was threatened to extort Rs 2000 as his shop was making good money and when victim refused he was attacked with sharp edged weapon and opened fire in air and escaped from the spot by the two accused Javed alias Chirraata and his aide. The victim sustained injury in his hand and sustained multiple injuries.
In his complaint victim stated that he asked to shed money which he refused after which he was attacked by the two accused and beaten brutally. The victim raised alert for help but after committing the crime, the miscreants managed to flee.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was released after providing treatment. Police said that the search for the attackers has been started.
After the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case of assault against the two miscreants who have criminal record.
Police said that search has been intensified for the accused. Till the filing of the report none of the attackers were nabbed. The houses of two accused have been raided.
