A 30-year-old Dhanbad man threatened to self-immolate after his wife died in a nursing home despite having normal delivery late on Saturday night.
The man, Bhola Tiwari claimed that the doctor and the nursing kept him in dark and asked him to bring blood twice within an hour and when he returned with blood both the nursing staff and the lady doctor escaped from nursing home leaving behind the body of his wife, Kritika Tiwari, and a newly born son in the delivery room.
Kritika was admitted to nursing home around midnight on Saturday and had delivered son after over an hour but was found dead by family members around morning when they forced the authorities to see both mother and son.
It all happened at Raj Nursing home of Dr Sabita Sukla Das, the gyconocologist who had conducted the delivery procedure.
On Sunday morning Bhola called his friends and family members and also informed police.
Entire staff of nursing home and the doctors were missing when police reached the nursing home.
Bhola has demanded arrest of the doctor and staff for allegedly murdering his wife. Attempts to contact Dr Sukladas and her husband Dr US PRASAD failed on the day. The doctor couple happen to be senior doctors and have retired from SNMMMCH. Police have assured appropriate legal action on the complaint filed by Bhola.
