Medi-Caps university observes Int’l Yoga Day

International Day of Yoga was observed on Monday at Medi-Caps University. Online Yoga Day was celebrated as per the instructions given to the university by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and the University Grants Commission-UGC to follow the Covid protocol.

Notably, in 2014, the then Government of India had proposed to celebrate International Day of Yoga in the General Assembly of the United Nations, which was passed by unanimous  and declared June 21 as International Day of Yoga. Pooja Singh,  trained yoga teacher and lecturer of  the electronics department of the university, said in her address that yoga is good for physical and mental health. Spiritual power also develops.

Therefore, yoga should be done regularly. Keeping in mind the Covid period suggested the mantra that 'Keep doing yoga, stay at home'. Explained the importance of Asana, Meditation and Pranayama and explained the method of doing it. After that he did asanas, meditation and pranayama, as well as the Pro Vice Chancellor of the university, D.K. Panda, Registrar Pradyumna Yadav and other members also followed him. Dr. Panda asked all the members to adopt the habit of doing yoga daily. Pradyumna.
