Microbiological surveillance in all hospitals ordered

The Health Department on Monday said it has ordered microbiological surveillance in all government and private hospitals in Chhattisgarh.

Health Director Neeraj Bansod told deans of all government medical colleges, chief medical and health officers of all districts and civil surgeons-cum-hospital superintendents to ensure microbiological surveillance and send reports to the state surveillance unit every week.

In the last few days, cases of Covid patients getting infected with infections like fungus and bacteria have come to the notice in government and private hospitals, an official order said.
