Ministers of Tirath cabinet working arbitrarily: Cong

Friday, 09 April 2021 | PNS | Dehradun

The Uttarakhand Congress has alleged that the ministers of Tirath Singh Rawat government are working in a whimsical and arbitrary manner. The spokesperson of state unit of the party Garima Dasauni said on Thursday that the decision of the Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi to dissolve a committee set up for construction of Sainya Dham is questionable. She said that this committee was set by former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and the chief secretary was the chairman of the committee.  She said that though the minister can dissolve the committee but he has no authority to nominate the Chief Minister as the chairman of the new committee. She said that the ministers in the state are not following the protocol. Dasauni also alleged that the Cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat who was removed from the position of chairman of the construction workers welfare board by former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is now unduly interfering in the functioning of the board. She said that the investigation set by the government to investigate the charges of irregularities has been stopped and all the suspended employees have been reinstated by the minister after change of CM in the state. The Congress leader demanded that the CM should break his silence on these issues. “Why is Tirath Singh Rawat silent? It appears that he is keeping quiet because he doesn’t want a fate similar to his predecessor,’’ she said.
