Teelajamalpura police have booked four miscreants who attacked a 22-year-old youth and his friend at Putlighar area after he opposed molestation of his sister late in the night on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim Mohammad Sohail and his friend Farhan was attacked with sharp edged weapons at Putlighar by Ali, Yusuf, Asif and Anus.
The victim was on his way to home when the accused obstructed his way and attacked him. The victim lost one of his ears, sustained injury in neck and showered punches. Sohail tried to slit the throat, Asif attacked him in his head and Ali attacked in his ear and face.
The victim raised an alarm after which locals rushed to her rescue. The accused escaped from the spot. The police have started investigation and registered case of attempt to murder against the four accused.
After the complaint was lodged, the accused escaped from the spot and before leaving threatened him of life and went absconding.
Police said that the condition of victim is reportedly critical and had recorded statement in which he stated that around four days ago his sister was teased and molested by the accused and when she returned home she reported the incident to victim after which victim went and scolded the accused. To settle score accused obstructed his way and attacked with sharp edged weapon.
