House of social worker was targeted by miscreants and escaped with valuables worth lakhs of rupees on Thursday; Kamla Nagar police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Rama Sharma along with her family to attend an event in Piparia on Wednesday and next day she was informed by her neighbour that her house was targeted and locks are broken and a complaint was lodged by the victim with the Kamla Nagar police.
In the complaint victim stated that they left house to attend an event and later received of burglary. The victim claimed that gold chain, a pair of gold ear rings, silver coins, diamonds, IPhone and Rs 7000 cash were burgled. The victim claimed that the total could be revealed after checking the valuables burgled from her house.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of burglary against unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
Police suspects that miscreants were aware regarding whereabouts of the family as the burglary was committed on the same day after victim left house with family. The CCTV cameras of the area and nearby cameras have been checked and to establish the identity of the miscreants has been started as investigation is on. The local and neighbours would be questioned in the further investigation.
