Miscreants escaped with bag carrying valuables worth lakhs of rupees from Landmark Garden Halalpura during marriage ceremony on Saturday; Koh-e-Fiza police have registered a case of theft and started investigation.
According to police, marriage function of Ranjeet Ganguly’s daughter was at Landmark Garden on Saturday and during the marriage a bag carrying valuables was stolen from the venue. The bag was kept on a table from where it was stolen claimed the victim.
In his complaint, the victim stated that the bag which was having Rs 30000 cash, jewelry and ATM card was kept on a table and when he returned after some work bag was not found the victim informed the family members and search was conducted at the venue but nothing was found at the venue and later a complaint was lodged with Koh-e-Fiza police.
After preliminary investigation, the police registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Police said the CCTV footage of the marriage would be checked to establish identity of the accused.
Meanwhile, miscreants targeted Ward office no. 10 of BMC at Idgah Hills and valuables worth Rs 50,000 were burgled on Sunday; Shahjehanabad police have started investigation into the matter.
Police said that the doors of ward office 10 of BMC were found broken and on entering chest and computer system was found burgled.
A complaint was lodged by the BMC employee Iftekhar Siddiqui with the Shahjehanabad police and in his complaint, he stated that office was closed late in the afternoon and when it was checked in the morning on Monday valuables were found burgled.
The employees informed senior official and a complaint was lodged with the police.
In the burglary, one computer system and chest were burgled. The complainant claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 50000.
