A film depicting the lives of navy engineers 'A Man Close to Ship's Heart' was screened at Shaurya Smarak here on Friday. The film deals with the training of Marine Engineers at the Marine Engineering Colourage at Calcutta. It also brings to the screen the employment opportunities open to the Indian youth in this field.
The film was screened under the regular film screenings held at Shaurya Smarak every day. The movies screened here are based on the Indian Army, Navy and other armed forces. Produced by the Films Division, this film A Man Close to the Ship's Heart is produced by B. N. Mehra and directed by IN Engineer.
The Indian Navy is a well balanced and cohesive three-dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under the surface of the oceans efficiently safeguarding the national interests.
It is to be noted that the film featured the engineers who work for the country in seas and oceans. The film features the advanced technologies used by the Navy even in submarines and people work for it i.e. the engineers.
