MP para shooter bags Olympic quota in Para World Cup-2021

Talented para shooter Rubina Francis of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy  created world record. She won an Olympic quota in the 10m Air Pistol Para Women event.

Rubina created history in the Para World Cup. It was held in Lima, Paru from June 12 to 17. Rubina Francis achieved a golden success in the final round of Para World Cup by creating a new world record with 238.1 points and got India an Olympic quota.

 Earlier, Rubina scored 555 out of 600 in the qualification round and made it to the finals by finishing fifth.

It is noteworthy that in the year 2017 Para World Cup held in Osijek, Turkish player Aysegul Pehlivanlar created a world record by scoring 237.1 points.

State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Rubina Francis for her unique and wonderful performance in the Para World Cup and said that we are proud of the state's daughter Rubina.

In the Para World Cup, Rubina has created history by giving India an Olympic quota with a new record and has made the country and the state proud. The Sports Minister has also congratulated the Chief Instructor of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Padmashree, Arjun and Dronacharya Awardee Jaspal Rana, trainer  Jayawardhan and Oshin Tawani on this achievement of Rubina.

Achievements of star player RubinaRubina, who has been learning the nuances of the sport at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy since 2017, has won two gold and one bronze medals for the country in international para shooting competitions.

Rubina won the gold medal for the country by setting a junior world record in the 10m Air Pistol Women Team Event of the World Shooting Para Sports Championship held in Bangkok in the year 2017 and bronze medal in the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup held in Croatia in the year 2019. She has made Madhya Pradesh proud by earning 12 medals including 10 gold, 2 silver in national para shooting competitions.
