MP player scores highest in World Archery Championship final, India lost to Colombia

Muskan Kirar, player of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy, Jabalpur, performed brilliantly in the final match against Colombia. In the Women's Compound Team Event in the Senior World Archery Championship held in Yankton, USA from  September 19 to 26.

Muskan was the top scorer. India lost this match to Colombia. Colombia beat India by 224 points against 229. Muskan Kirar scored 78 out of 80 points.

Muskan Kirar (Jabalpur, MP), Priya Gurjar (Rajasthan) and Jyoti (Andhra Pradesh) were members of the Indian team in this team event from India. In the final match Colombia defeated India by 224 points against 229. For India, Muskan Kirar scored 78 out of 80, Priya 74 out of 80 and Jyoti scored 72 out of 80.

In a very contested match, the Indian team lost to Colombia.

Indian team's performance in the competition were brilliant. India vs Great Britain, Quarter Final. In the quarter final match, the Indian team defeated Great Britain by 2 points. Final score 144 India, 142 UK.

Semi final match India vs USA (Ni)In the semi-final match, the Indian team defeated the strong team of USA by just one point. India was 226, USA 225 points. Muskan Kirar performed brilliantly in this entire competition.

Sports Minister congratulated Muskaan State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Muskaan Kirar for his best performance to earn the silver for India.

The Chief Instructor of the State Archery Academy and coach of the Indian team in USA Richpal Singh Salaria has also been congratulated. He encouraged Muskaan to do better.
