Talented sportsmen Manisha Keer and Neeru Dhanda of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy will represent the Indian team in the upcoming ISSF World Cup.
In recent National Shooting Trial in Delhi, both the players performed brilliantly and made it to the selected top-5 shotgun players. Manisha Keer was third with 109.62 national rankings and Neeru Dhanda was fifth with 106.08. It is noteworthy that the ISSF World Cup is scheduled to be held in Cairo in February 2021, India in March and Korea in April 2021.
In the National Rankings released by the NRAI after the first and second trials held in Delhi, shooting academy player Akash Kushwaha took second place in Trap Event Junior and Arjun Thakur got Skeet Event and Preity Razak finished fourth in Trap Event.
Academy's star rifle player Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar is at first place in the country with a score of 11.76 in the 22 Three Position Event.
Players returned to Bhopal after participating in the recently concluded National Shooting Trial in Delhi. Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia met the players.
Yashodhara Raje Scindia applauded the great performance by the academy players in the trial held in Delhi. She expressed her happiness and congratulated Manisha Keer and Neeru Dhanda's selection in the World Cup. She said that our daughters are unfurling the state with their excellent performance, which we are proud of them.
Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain informed the Sports Minister about the departmental achievements.
On this occasion, Joint Director Sports Vinod Pradhan and B.S. Yadav and other officers, Assistant Instructor Chatgan Indrajit Sikdar were present.
