Talented player of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy Muskan Kirar is selected in the Indian compound team
She will play at the 22nd Asian Archery Championship to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from November 19 to 26.
Apart from Muskan Kirar of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy, Jyoti Surekha of PSPB, Preneet Kaur of PB and Priya Gurjar of Rajasthan have also been selected in the Indian compound team.
State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia expressed happiness over Muskan Kirar being selected in the Indian team at the Asian Archery Championship.
It is noteworthy that five players of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy, Muskan Kirar, Ragini Markon, Srishti Singh, Amit Yadav and Saurabh Pandey participated in the selection trial organized for the Asian Championship. MP All the players of State Archery Academy are training under the guidance of Chief Instructor Richpal Salaria at Archery Academy Jabalpur.
Achievements of Muskan Kirar
Kirar is originally a resident of Jabalpur. Muskan was honored with Eklavya Award by the state government in the year 2018 and Vikram Award in the year 2019. Muskan Kirar earned silver medal in Asian Games 2018. She also bagged silver medal at Asian Archery Championship Bangkok Thailand. Won bronze medal in World Championship Netherlands.
Muskaan has so far represented the Indian team in 14 international competitions. In these competitions,
Muskan has won a total of 10 medals for India including one gold, six silver and three bronze medals.
