With the aim to raise awareness about the impact of Rabies on humans and animals, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organised a free vaccination camp against rabies.

The camp was organised at the NDMC Veterinary Hospital, Moti Bagh to mark the World Rabies Day.

On the occasion, the Chairperson of NDMC Dharmendra inaugurated a free vaccination camp against rabies in which 51 dogs were vaccinated and issued the rabies vaccination certificate.

The NDMC veterinary department distributed free food packets for puppies and adult dogs. In the camp, the informative printed material on the prevention and control of rabies were given to all pet owners.

World Rabies Day is observed each year on September 28, the anniversary of the Death of Louis Pasteur, who developed the first efficacious rabies vaccine in the world.
