Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nancy Sahay on Monday addressing the Directors of RSETIs of all the districts, told the need to work in a more focused manner on self-employment based training for the youth based on the local environment.

While releasing the annual activity report based on the activities of the training program being run for self-employment under RSETI in Jharkhand Sahay said this. She from JSLPS State Office at Hehal launched the report prepared by National Academy of RudSETI on training and achievements of RSETI through online medium.

On this occasion, Sahay, termed the need of the hour to take necessary steps after the Covid-19 disaster to connect people with sustainable livelihood through RSETI training, to ensure post-training credit linkage and availability of trades based on local requirements. Appreciating the work of RSETI, SHE talked about making a strategy after the Covid disaster to make it more effective and employment oriented.

On this occasion, Director, National Academy of RUDSETI, Vipul Chandra appreciated the training being run by the RSETI in Jharkhand. He also appreciated the trainees passed out by the bank for their bank linkage.

The National Academy of RSETI has prepared an annual report based on RSETI training and activities in the State of Jharkhand. Under which the trainings implemented by RSETI in the last financial year have been evaluated. According to this report, the training conducted in 347 batches last year were evaluated. A total of 9629 trainees were evaluated out of which 9593 passed. In order to encourage self-employment by providing training to the youth in the State, 24 RSETIs and one RUDSETI center are running. These centers are being operated mainly with the help of Bank of India, State Bank of India, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank and Canara Bank. JSLPS under Rural Development Department is the nodal agency for successful operation of RSETIs which helps banks in implementation and monitoring.

On this occasion, the State Nodal Officer of RSETI, Chief Operating Officer, JSLPS and RSETI Director from all districts were connected through an online medium.
