New CJ of C’garh High Court sworn in

Justice Arup Kumar Goswami was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

Governor Anusuiya Uikey administered the oath of office and secrecy at a function held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, an official communication said.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, his Cabinet colleagues, former Chief Minister Raman Singh and senior officials were present. Goswami's wife Dr. Neelakshi Goswami as well as judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court were also present.

Justice Goswami was previously the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
