Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that all preparations are done for the first phase of anti-Covid-19 vaccination drive starting on January 16. Thanking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan and scientists for preparation of the vaccine, Rawat reiterated that Uttarakhand is fully prepared for the stage-wise implementation of the vaccination drive.
Rawat said that the vaccine is fully safe, stating that there should be no doubt about this. As part of the first batch, the centre has provided 1.13 lakh vaccine doses to the state. In the first stage, the vaccine will be administered to 50,000 health workers. As the PM will inaugurate the vaccination drive at 10:30 AM on Saturday, the CM will participate in the event at government Doon medical college hospital virtually.
