A national-level meeting under the Centre For Capacity Building Using Science and Technology Customisation For Tribal Developments was organised at Baniatangi, Khordha, on Saturday.
The meeting was graced by senior scientist Dr Ashok Kumar Singh , Prof Dr Suresh Chander Malik from Department of Statistics, MD University, Rohtak and Prof Dr Balkishan Dass from Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi. The meeting was presided over by Dr Himanshu Mohan Padhy.
The centre is sponsored and patronised by the Department of Science and Technology ,Government of India to enhance the livelihood of tribal people by introducing science and innovation in the key areas like honey bee cultivation, mushroom cultivation, mobile repairing and handicrafts training.
Training completion certificates were distributed among the tribal trainees. Further some tribal women self-help groups (SHG) were felicitated during the event.
