Amit Kumar of NTPC and a team of IIM, Trichy comprising Dr Vijaya & Dr Balakrishnan clinched the prestigious “Anubhav” quest at SAIL, MTI today for their respective cases of “Power to Empower: People Manager Program” and “Think Big though Small: High Performance Work Culture”. Runners up in these above two categories were ‘Subhra Dhara and Digvijay Singh of SAIL, Ranchi’ & ‘Dr. Priyanka, Amity Univ. and Dr. Saurav, XLRI’.
This was the 9th “Anubhav” — a management case study development contest is a flagship national event, which is organised every year by SAIL & National HRD Network, Ranchi.
This year's contest attracted a record number of participants, comprising 50 teams who registered for the contest with their original cases.
8 teams which qualified for the finals were from NTPC, IIM Visakhapatnam, RDCIS SAIL, MTI SAIL, Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, CMO SAIL, Jain University Bengaluru, Amity University Jharkhand, XLRI Jamshedpur & IIM Trichy. The finalists won a prize money worth Rs one lakh & forty thousand.
The Finals were telecast live to professionals, academicians and students who wanted to learn and develop through the case discussions.
During the award ceremony, “A Book of Selected Cases” featuring the cases of the finalists was released by the Jury comprising Dr Gautam Sinha, VC–IMS, Unison & Ex-Director, IIM Kashipur; Dr Zubin R. Mulla, Prof.(TISS) and Dr Virajanand Varma, Asst Prof (IIM-Ranchi) through video conferencing . This book shall be available as a free resource on the Internet to anybody wanting to use it for HRD and academic purposes.
This case study contest was also an opportunity for Corporates to professionally engaging employees and develop them.
