NZCC and Union Ministry of Art and Culture to organize Ragni and Song Festival

To make people of tricity aware of the folk art and culture and genres of Haryana, the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala in collaboration with  the Union Ministry of Art and Culture will organize a four-day Ragni and Song festival, under the 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The festival will be organized at 5 pm from December 16 to 19 at Kalagram, Manimajra, said an official spokesman of Haryana Government.

The spokesperson said that this would be the first time that the people of the tricity would be able to enjoy ragni and songs together in a programme.  During the programme well-known folk artists and musicians of Haryana would present their respective genres.

On the first day of the programme, Rakesh Bharania will start with Ragni and Pradeep Rai with Nidana song on December 16, while on December 17, Master Ranbir will entertain the people with his Ragni and Dharamveer will perform songs. Similarly, on December 18, famous folk singer Bali Sharma and famous singer Sham Lal will perform their songs. On the last day of the function, on December 19, famous folk singer Sangeeta Jangra Sharma and singer Seonath will enthrall the audiences with their songs, the spokesman said.
