Odisha Women’s Football League from today

An Odisha Women’s Football League is scheduled to start from Sunday with six teams’ participation. All matches will be played in a double header league basis. There will be a total of 30 matches.

The league will conclude on March 27. The matches will be played at Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Stadium practice ground and Capital High School ground).

The teams are Sports Hostel, SAI-STC, OGP CLUB, Rising Student Club, East Coast Railway and Odisha Police. The champion team will qualify to participate in the ensuing prestigious IWL to be conducted by the All India Football Federation.

The event is being jointly organised by the Football Association of Odisha and the State Sports and Youth Service Department.

The Rising Student Club has the honour of being the champion (2017-18) and runners-up (2016-17) of the IWL. Also, the Odisha Police has represented in the IWL.
