A total of 14,430 doses of Covishield have reached regional vaccine stores in Daltonganj. District reproductive child health officer Anil Kr Singh said the consignment has arrived here in strict adherence to the protocol of the shipment of the vaccines.
Singh said the consignment has arrived here from Ranchi.
Singh said these 14,430 doses are for the three districts Latehar Garhwa and Palamu. Palamu's share is 4, 160 doses, said Singh.
Following directives from the government of India there will now be two sessions sites in each of the twenty four districts of Jharkhand. Singh said earlier they were asked to ready six sessions sites.
He said the two sessions sites are Medinirai Medical College and Hospital Daltonganj and community health centre Chainpur in Palamu district. A 10 per cent of the lot of doses is to be kept in abeyance while the remaining ones are to be divided by two to enable the first shot vaccinated beneficiary to have a second shot on twenty eighth day of the first shot.
