Panic as tiger flees at N’kanan

Visitors at the Nandankanan Zoological Park here were panic-stricken for a while as a Royal Bengal Tiger escaped the fence of the tiger safari on Thursday. According to reports, tiger ‘Suraj’ broke the fence and fled while the animal was being fed by an employee of zoo. As zoo staffers failed to trace the tiger, the visitors were evacuated.Fortunately, the animal was later found roaming inside the safari, after which normalcy was restored at zoo.
