Patient’s death triggers tension in B’ngir hosp

The death of a patient at the Bhima Bhoi Medical College Hospital here sparked tension on Monday as the patient’s relatives went on a rampage alleging medical negligence in treatment.

The relatives ransacked equipments and furnitures. They also reportedly attacked some doctors and nurses, who sustained injuries.

They also clashed with police when the latter arrived to control situation. In a bid to bring situation under control police resorted to a lathicharge due to which some relatives of patient were injured. According to reports, Sumant  Bhoi (20) of Bhursipali was admitted to hospital on Sunday night.
