Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Lucknow on September 28 and hand over the keys of the completed houses to 75,000 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban during the last day of the three-day flagship projects programme.
The programme is proposed to be held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan from September 26 to 28.
Earlier, Modi was scheduled to come to the state capital to inaugurate the three-day programme of the Union Urban Development Ministry on September 26 but due to his visit to the USA, now he is likely to come to Lucknow to attend the valedictory function on September 28.
UP Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon had recently met Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi to finalise the prime minister’s programme.
In the three-day event, an exhibition of positive reforms, changes and achievements in urban areas of all the states will be displayed.
In addition, workshops will be held in which experts from various disciplines will participate along with senior administrative officers.
A coffee table book will also be released by Smart City Mission, UP on this occasion.
