Police book man for selling house with forged documents

The TT Nagar police have booked a man for fraudulently selling a house at `3.5 lakh, using forged document; police registered a case on Saturday.

Police said that the victim Uttamchandra Shahwani lodged a complaint against his brother Sacchanand Shahwani.

In his complaint the victim stated that his allowed his brother to stay in his house in Shashtri Nagar in the year 2005 and after few years he found that accused brother produced forged documents and using them sold the house at `3.6 lakh to another person.After the victim found that house was sold he asked him to vacate house but he refused and continued to stay at the house. The victim lodged complaint and on the completion of investigation police have registered case against the accused. 

The police have registered a case under sections 420, 467 and 468 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The accused sold the house by producing fake power of attorney, said police.Accused was not arrested yet and in the further investigation, he would be arrested. The details of aides who have helped accused in producing forged documents is yet to be revealed and would be investigated.The person who had bought the house would be questioned as the person had bought the house knowingly or he was not aware of the actual owner of house is not clear, said police.
