Hanumanganj police have booked two fraudsters who were involved in duping a surgical instrument seller to the tune of Rs 4.2 lakh in the name of selling pulse oximeter devices.
The victim Suresh Kalra who runs M/s Lal Store was duped by the victim after his son Tarun added two accused who posed as dealers of Mumbai based pulse oximeter devices and later after collecting Rs 4.2 lakh they never provided pulse oximeter devices.
In his complaint, Tarun stated that miscreants contacted him who posed as Mumbai based dealer of pulse oximeter devices when the second wave of Covid was at peak and offered pulse oximeter devices at low rates. Lured by the offer victim contacted the accused who assured to providing devices.
Accused demanded Rs 4.2 lakh from the victim and on the demand victims provided the money. The accused told the victims that after collecting money pulse oximeter devices would be delivered but it never happened.
After providing money victim contacted the accused but later mobile phones of the accused were found switched off.
Based on the complaint police have registered a case of fraud against two accused who used to contact victim and cheated. Police have claimed that using the mobile phone numbers accused would be tracked. The details provided by the victim were not correct.
