Raipur Police on Thursday launched a three-day “Pink Patrol” campaign to promote zero tolerance of crime against women.
State Women Commission Chairperson Dr Kiranmayi Nayak and Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal flagged off the patrol team, an official statement said.
A total of 15 teams have been constituted for “Pink Patrol” comprising 152 women police personnel who will go to different police station limits, Raipur SSP Prashant Agrawal said.
The objective behind organizing such campaign is to make a fearless environment for women and to motivate them to contact police easily if something goes wrong.
