Three persons consuming liquor and hookah were detained during a police raid conducted at a flat at Rohit Phase II and seized liquor and hookah material worth Rs 60140 by Shahpura police on Monday.
Shahpura police were receiving reports of the liquor and hookah consumption near Virat medical store. After several complaints in the night on Monday the place was raided and during the raid three persons were found consuming liquor and hookah.
Police have recovered 9 liquor bottles from their possession. Prem Prakash Nair and Lovelesh Kumar Sen were nabbed who were smoking hookah while Abhisek Tiwari was providing the material for hookah.
Acting on a tip off flat no. 3 at Rohit Nagar phase II was raided where two persons were found smoking hookah while third person was providing hookah and liquor.
The information was provided to police after hookah and liquor drinking was found by the locals for the past 4-5 days.
The police have registered a case under section 34 of Excise Act and section 4, 20 and 21(A) of Control of Tobacco Products Act 2003 has been registered against them. Police have seized hookah material and liquor bottles from the flat .
