Ranchi police have constituted four special teams headed by Ranchi DSP (Sadar) to investigate sensational case of alleged attempt to topple the Hemant Soren led Government. One team is set to visit Delhi and the another one to Mumbai to conduct investigation.
Police have arrested three suspects namely Amit Singh, Nivaran Prasad Mahto and Abhishek Kumar Dubey on Friday night from Hotel Le Lac Sarovar in Ranchi. But, given their nondescript background, the BJP came quick to outrightly reject that accused can act even as pimps in the power portal.
They are accused of collaborating with two of the Maharashtra based BJP politicians Chandrashekhar Rao Babankule and Charan Singh and some financers to bribe Congress MLAs to destabilize the Hemant Soren led JMM-Congress-RJD Government.
The Congress has 16 MLAs in Jharkhand and four of them are ministers in the alliance government.
Police claim that the accused had gone to Delhi along with two of the Congress MLAs Irfan Ansari and Umashankar Akela and independent MLA Amit Yadav. Police said that meetings of these MLAs with some of the top BJP leaders were arranged. Police claimed that there is a high level conspiracy to pull down the Government by defecting as many as 11 Congress MLAs and if police is believed eight Congress MLAs are in the regular touch.
It may or may not be a coincidence that police arrested them on a written complaint of one of the Congress MLA Jaimangal Singh, who claimed that a conspiracy is going on to break MLAs of ruling alliance. Another Congress MLA Naman Bixal Kongari too revealed that once he was also contacted with a big offer which he flatly denied.
Amid unverified confessions and claims; integrity, political and personal reputations of Congress MLAs — other than its four ministers, Singh and Kongari — has come under question and Central and State leadership are silent on the matter.
Leadership has not woken-up to smash narratives and apparently not realised that the damage of the party is beyond surfeits of memes and jokes, as the Congress in Jharkhand is being dubbed as a disorderly house, untrustworthy bedfellow where MLAs are ready for auction.
