Power agreements to be exchanged

Madhya Pradesh is continuously setting records in setting up solar power projects in the country. The exchange of power agreements with selected developers for setting up of 1500 MW capacity solar project for Agar, Shajapur, Neemuch will be held on November 25, 2021 at ITI Ground, Shajapur in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister for Energy and New and Renewable Energy RK Singh.

Also, the bhoomi-pujan of the project will also be conducted. The Letter of Award has already been distributed to the selected developers. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will take place during this program. In addition, there will be purchase agreements with selected farmers / developers of Kusum-A scheme.

New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang informed that these projects with a private investment of about Rs 5250 crores will start generating electricity by March-2023. The State Discom Company will save about Rs.7600 crore in 25 years. About 4500 persons will get employment during project establishment and about 450 persons in project operation.

The country's largest and first 135 MW solar power plant was established in Neemuch district only, and was dedicated by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi. The 750 MW solar project set up in Rewa district is also one of the big projects in the country. 24 percent of the electricity generated from this is being supplied to Delhi Metro. This project was dedicated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited, a joint company of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) is developing solar projects of 550 MW in Aagar, 450 MW in Shajapur and 500 MW in Neemuch in the state. In the reverse auction held on July 12, 2021 for 2 units of Agar Solar Park, the lowest rates of Rs. 2,459 for Avada Power and Rs. 2,444 for the other unit have been obtained from Beam Power Energy. The project will be set up on about 1100 hectares of land.

In Shajapur district, 3 units of 105 MW, 220 MW and 125 MW will be set up in an area of ??about 900 hectares. In the bid held on June 28, the lowest rates at the rate of Rs. 2.35 paise for Unit-1 was received by NTPC Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. Delhi, for the second unit Rs 2. 33 paise again by NTPC, and for the third unit Rs 2.33 paise per unit by M / s Talettutai Solar Projects Pvt. Ltd. Was received for the third unit.
