Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Sunday said that an amount of Rs 5000 will be given as medical aid to COVID patients in home isolation, who are below the poverty line.
This amount will be sent directly to the bank account of the patients. It will be mandatory to have the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) for the beneficiary COVID patients to avail this medical aid, Vij said.
He said that private hospitals will have to upload the information of such patients at https://gmdahrheal.in/. A helpline number - 8558893911 - has also been issued for COVID related assistance in the state.
Besides this, a helpline number 1075 has also been started for rest of the state except Gurugram and Faridabad to disseminate information about COVID, he said.
The Health Minister said that the State Government is committed towards ensuring good health of COVID patients. The government is making every effort to protect the people from this pandemic.
Under another initiative of Haryana Government, COVID patients of the state who are below the poverty line and are not availing the facility under Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be given subsidy and this amount will be deducted from the bill at the time of discharge of the patient, he said.
Vij said that the State Government has set an incentive amount of Rs 1000 per patient per day to a maximum of Rs 7000 for the patients in private hospitals authorized by the government for treatment of COVID, and this amount will be deposited in the bank account of the hospitals when the patient is discharged.
