A couple allegedly roped in a driver and photographed themselves in a government chopper and uploaded the images on social media, sparking a row and leading to the driver's suspension on Monday.
The suspension order by the Directorate of Aviation said driver Yogeshwar Sai allegedly felicitated the entry of unauthorized persons in the state hangar in violation of the Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Conduct) Rule 1965.
Sai has been attached with the Directorate of Aviation at Nava Raipur.
State Congress spokesperson Vikas Tiwari on Monday wrote to Director General of Police D.M. Awasthi demanding a thorough investigation and "strict action".
“The room in the state hangar was used as a changing room and several photos and videos were taken during the pre-wedding shoot. It is a major lapse in Chief Minister’s security which should be seriously investigated,” Tiwari said in a letter.
