Priest held for killing wife

Chhattisgarh Police on Thursday arrested a 40-year-old temple priest for killing his wife and setting her on fire after suspecting her of having an extra-marital affair in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, police said.

The man was identified as Ram Narayan Pande (40). He killed Mandakini (30) in a residential quarter in a village temple, Bhatapara (Rural) Station House Officer Roshan Singh Rajput told The Pioneer.

The gruesome incident took place on Wednesday night.
